How care works
How care actually starts
No assessment forms and no call centre. A conversation about the support you’re looking for, a caregiver you meet before anything begins, and a note after every visit.

Four steps, and you can stop at any of them
Step 1. You tell us what you need
A conversation about the day-to-day — mornings, meals, who is doing what now. Not a clinical assessment.
One caregiver, one coordinator.
The family shouldn't feel like they're dealing with a marketplace or a random list of caregivers.
Step 2. We match a caregiver
One person, chosen for your family. Not a list to sort through yourself.
“You meet the person first. Everything else follows from that.”
Step 3. You meet them before care starts
An introduction at home. If it isn't right, say so and we look again — that is what this step is for.

She ate most of lunch.
We walked to the mailbox.
She was in good spirits.
Always shared with the client's knowledge — your family decides together who receives it.
Illustrative example — not a real client note.
The Aha Family Note is a non-medical visit summary. It is not a medical record or clinical documentation.
Step 4. Care begins, and the notes begin with it
A few plain sentences after every visit, so you know how the day actually went.
Three things that stay true, whichever service you need
One coordinator
The family shouldn't feel like they're dealing with a marketplace or a random list of caregivers.
You meet the caregiver first
Families should have confidence about who is coming into their home.
A note after every visit
Care happens at home. Family should still feel connected to it.
Where would you like to go from here?
Care starts with a conversation.
Tell us what would make everyday life easier. You do not have to figure out the entire care plan before reaching out.
Submitting this form does not create a care agreement. AhaCare will follow up regarding availability and possible next steps.
It starts with a few questions
