Accessibility
What we have done, what we have measured, and what we have not checked.
Last reviewed September 9, 2026
This site was built for a reader in their seventies first. That is not a slogan. It decided the type size, the color contrast, the size of every button, and what happens when someone turns motion off.
What we aim for
We work toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This page does not claim conformance. It describes what is actually built and checked, and the gap that remains.
What is built in
Body text never goes below 16px, anywhere on the site. There is no small print.
Every link and button is at least 44 by 44 pixels, so it can be hit without precision.
Color contrast is measured rather than assumed. Combinations that fell short were removed from the palette's permitted pairings rather than shipped and hoped for.
Entrance animations are switched off entirely for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion, and the page still shows everything if the animation fails.
The whole site works from a keyboard: a skip link to the content, menus that open with Enter and close with Escape, and a visible focus outline.
The Request Care form has been tested with keyboard navigation and automated accessibility checks, from the first question to the confirmation screen.
Photographs carry descriptions, and decorative marks are hidden from screen readers rather than read out as noise.
What we have not done
No independent accessibility audit has been carried out, and this page does not claim a conformance level. The measures above are real and were checked during the build; an audit is a different thing and has not happened.
The site has not been tested with every screen reader and assistive technology combination.
If something is hard to use
Tell us: contact@myahacare.com. A barrier you hit is more useful to us than any checklist, and we would rather fix it than discover it in an audit. We respond within two business days.
Where this stands
This statement describes the site as built and is checked against it. It will be updated when an independent audit is carried out.
